There’s a difference between a straight guy being subject to homophobic slurs [because ha, ha, gay people are gross, right?], and a gay guy being subject to homophobic slurs [because fuck you, homo]. It’s the difference between basic, if not problematic, shit talk and deliberate, vitriolic hate speech.
That’s how it affects people.

Do not post medical or legal documents pertaining to your autistic child/sibling/friend EVER because that is sensitive material.
Prospective employers can see these things. Landlords and universities can see these things. Discrimination against autistics is real, and it happens all the time regardless of laws protecting us.
This is more than a matter of respect for autistics in your life. This is potentially a matter of whether or not they can have a decent future. Your poor judgement, your lack of consideration, should not be barriers for autistics you say you care about.
This goes for ALL children, regardless of their place on or off the spectrum. PRIVACY LAWS EXIST FOR A REASON, PEOPLE! They are there to protect patients. There are privacy settings on almost every social media website for a reason: to give you a little bit of control on managing your information and image online. However, NOTHING is truly private or protected online. Don’t rely on privacy controls. If it pertains to your child: DO NOT POST IT.

Eridan Ampora, Prince of Hope.
This one’s mainly inspired by the magical girl version of the March Madness Eridan meme (see this Promstuck page and Octopimp’s Peridan and Starkat skit for examples), It’s Over Once You Give Up, a Homestuck / Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika crossover fic by a mere trifle, and some of that magical girl Weeabro fanart that’s been floating around. Basically, I was looking for an anime prince outfit which evokes March Madness while remaining plausible as a Prince of Hope hoodie. Then I remembered Utena Tenjou’s ambition to become a fairytale prince and everything clicked. For the record, the idea for this predates this Eridan fanart by IPGD and John’s bucket letter.
Partially traced from official Utena art and Eridan’s sprites. The wings are the MSPA wiki’s high-res version of the Hope symbol, doubled and flipped turnways. The background is a pallette-swapped version of this public domain rose photo from Wikimedia Commons.

The Blue Scorpion Army. While their moirails were away on summer vacation in the pre-Scratch Alternian equivalent of junior high, Mindfang and Dualscar formed a gang and roped the Grand Highblood, Summoner and Darkleer into joining. When the Dolorosa found out what they were doing, she got their moirails together to put a stop to it. This incident was a major turning point, after which the Dolorosa and Mindfang started taking their moirallegiance seriously and Dualscar and Mindfang broke up, and might also be the point at which Dualscar ♦ Condesce started to fall apart. Dualscar has sort of non-lethal raygun (modified by Darkleer), the Summoner has rocket wings and Darkleer has some sort of computer goggles.
